City of Opelika
The City of Opelika approached Virticle to develop a new Web site that presented a large amount of content with a simple navigational structure. They also needed the ability to constantly update content internally.
Virticle developed a Web e-business strategy, which meets the Web needs of the city and an assessment of departmental needs weighed against the degree to which the city Web users might be expected to access the city services. Virticle designed an interactive, dynamic, and attractive Web site that considers overall branding and imaging, accessibility, usability, navigation for both targeted and causal Web users, as well as addressing the practice areas for each of the organization’s departments that will be placed on the Web site. It incorporated usability features to address cross browser functionality, visual impairment, site optimization for bandwidth, and handicapped enabled browsers. Virticle also provided the city with a content management system that allows non-technical users to use a workflow process for maintaining and developing their Web property.
