Web Front-end Component Developer
We are looking for talented, motivated individuals in many areas who have a passion for technology. We have an outstanding team and strong financial backers. People should be motivated by a high risk, high reward project. The position is a full-time position based in our main office in Auburn.
We’re looking for a passionate, talented Web Front-end Component Developer to help us build a new generation of web applications. This person will be responsible for all aspects of the user interface component design, including conception and implementation. We need a strong design sense with a focus on real-world usability.
The Web Developer collaborates with management, graphic designers, and software developers to build and maintain customer-facing UI components and Web pages. The Web Developer will act as a resource for other members of the creative team, and leads technical planning and decisions relating to front-end code, including CSS, XHTML, and JavaScript. Additionally, it is expected to understand market requirements for integrating and creating new designs for our front-end APIs & integration points, building and improving our existing APIs & integration capability and working with our developer community, customers, and partners.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Translate prototypes and wire-frames into launch-ready, validating XHTML/CSS.
- Integrate final markup into the framework and backend systems, creating and manipulating UI components as necessary.
- Collaborate with managers, Web designers and software engineers to ensure design vision is maintained and final markup is standards compliant and maintains cross-browser compatibility.
- Create and maintain templates using XHTML / CSS / XML / XSL / JavaScript/ AJAX controls.
- Tackle troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
Essentially, we’re looking for someone with an excellent understanding of consumer internet and knowledge of current design tools, techniques and methodologies. Competencies in Photoshop, PHP development, experience with Web services frameworks and methodologies desirable.
Requirements:
- 3+ year Web development experience
- Computer science, engineering, or related degree is expected.
